I have a picture of my Great Uncle Archy wearing one on guard duty in the fall/winter of 1918 in France, so they were worn in the field. They were also reissued in WW2 to a limited degree. The supply has pretty much been spread out in the collector community. Ballpark figure on this can run anywhere between 40-60 dollars.
