tonyapril65 Posted December 25, 2011 Share Posted December 25, 2011 Hi All.This is kind of unbelievable that I ran into this place.My dad was the main welder on this job.He did the under water welding and the main bridge till it opened. Prior to him passing away he told me that he tagged his name with a torch on the highest point of the bridge. I have many stories to say about this bridge.During communist times this bridge was being built. He put his heart and soul into it.At the end he was told that the govt will give him a gold medal award for his incredible work.Well as we say the communist gave it to there own kind and my dad was pretty upset:) Doesnt matter we knew who he was and what he did and thats all that mattered.
