J Temple-West Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Good morning, Freejack If you scroll up 7 posts, you will see that Friedrich Linden - Lüdenscheid is mentioned as an accepted maker of the army para badge. Linden is also well known maker of Luftwaffe, Heer and Kriegsmarine war-time badges.

I think this name tag is original. But 4 rings - according to this study - this badge is fake. I don’t see everything, let's discuss this badge. What points say is the original, and what points say is a fake
gebirgsjager39 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 (edited) This is an excellent article. So, has anyone looked at the mid war Army fallschirmjager badge for sale on Collectors Guild? Vet bring back, been on there a while. Edited June 11, 2020 by gebirgsjager39

Hvis du har et Type 2-emblem i aluminium, sølv eller et Type 3-emblem i zink, og dets udstansede overfladedetaljer ikke svarer præcist til det, du ser her, er det en kopi eller en falsk. Do you know where I can buy a fake paratrooper badge
gunnut Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) Can anyone tell me if this is genuine or fake, and what the value might be? Edited January 25 by gunnut
ChrisKelly Posted January 26 Posted January 26 This is just my opinion... I look askance at German Second World War badges which have "personal details" engraved on the reverse. This was generally not a common practice during that period, and not widely seen in the First World War as well. Some of the fakes with details engraved on the reverse are well manufactured, so based on what I've seen in general with the German Second World War badges, I'd say it's likely not genuine. In auction/dealer lots like this one, it's common to see an original private purchase case, or even an original manufacturer's carton, with a fake badge, especially since the Heer Falschirmjägerabzeichen is one of the rarer, pricier badges. Nice looking badge, though. What is that "thing" on the reverse near the pin catch... ["Little monkey fingers have been at work," perhaps?]
Gordon Craig Posted January 26 Posted January 26 The "monkey fingers" are there to hold the pin in place I think. I've never seen them on a TR badge before. Just my thoughts though. Regards, Gordon
ChrisKelly Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Here's a decent fake. Check out the authentic badges on eMedals, the second source listed.
