Mounted Pair Police 25 Year & Olympic Medal

I love it! Strange fade pattern on the police medal though! Is the partwith the police emblem a different piece of ribbon sewn onto the bar?

Yup, somebody had that out in bright sunlight and the different dye sure as heck faded out differently.

See my Luftwaffe General's ribbon bar, where the self-same ribbon bar I have that he was wearing was already turning the blue light like this DURING THE WAR:

The FIRST Type Polizei 18 and 25 had a ribbon bar mounting to attach the separate eagle device. the second type wove the eagle into the ribbon, which was then usually folded oddly and had a SLIT through the ribbon for the ring.

Its more the ribbon I am interested in, than the fading. It is to my best knowledge a silk ribbon, look at the edging/finishing.

Nice bar and yet again clear evidence of different stocks given the fade. What is most interesting is this fellow had 25 Years Polizei long service by 1942 and no other awards!!
