Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Our boy had a very long career in the MVR, selected early for Party Education at the highest level politically and served long and well. This group is a little different than the other MVR Groups posted. Watch and see if you can determine why! In 1946, Dumbelov receives his Soviet Victory over Germany Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1947, he receives the Bulgarian WW2 Victory Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 In 1953, off to Party School he goes for 4 years of political education. Courses on Soviet Ideology as well as Bulgarian. I believe this is the first time we have seen one of these booklets.
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Additional details from the school booklet:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1957, he receives the Anti-Fascist Struggle Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1957 he also receives his Military merit Medal. Note that this is only the second green orders book I have observed. I have another group with a 1956 award and the book is the usual yellow background, an earlier one in green. No idea as to why/where these were used.
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1959 he receives an Order of People's Liberty, Second Class.
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Award page for the people's Liberty. (Did you notice he signed his orders book?)
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 still 1964, Excellent MVR Employee Badge:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1969, 25 Years Communist Bulgaria Jubilee Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1974 again, Merit in Protecting The Public Order Medal. Why was this given? True merit? Additional pat on the back?
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1975: 30 Years Victory in WW2 Jubilee Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1977, he receives his Honored MVR Employee Badge.
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1977, gets interesting here.... he receives an Order of Cyril & Methodius, Second Class!
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1981, 1300 Years of Bulgaria Jubilee Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1984: 40 Years of Communist Bulgaria Jubilee Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1985, 40 Years of Victory in WW2 Jubilee Medal:
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1985 again, he receives his Dimitrov Order. Why? Does not coincide with some other MVR 60th Birthday Awards we have seen??
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 1986, here's where the huge deviation occurs. In most other MVR Officer groups I have; there is a 10 Year LSM, no other LSM appears.... Notice we have not seen a 10, or 15, in this group? He receives a 20 Year LSM in '86!
Stogieman Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 The group also came with some interesting additional papers, including his 1977-1990 Party Dues booklet, showing him as a Party Member since 1944!
