Huh. That is indeed the old model Pilgrims' Cross-- I cannot find ANYTHING that indicates what ribbon it was worn on back then though-- and was confused by that being the ribbon of the "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice" Cross it is on. Maybe they used the same one?

Looks like a legitimate Godet bar, though the flat bottom was unusual for them.

So you have a Catholic military official of Major-equivalent when the war started, medals mounted during the war, and never updated after the collapse of the Empire.

The Pilgrims' Cross was NEVER listed in Rank Lists, so an identification will be impossible without staggering good fortune. A miracle, even. Still, it's a prize as is with the "white black" EK2.
