Looking for opinions on this Kitcheners Fighting Scouts Badge!

It is approx 2.2 cm wide (at widest parts) and 2.8cm tall.

Looks good to me...... They were very cruedly made mostly hand cut out of sheet brass..... Here is a photo of mine sorry cannot show reverse has been mounted in frame......

Hi Mike.....

Slouch Hat Badge...... Value well I paid $45.00 for mine abou 5 years ago, saw one on ebay for over $300.00 the other day and just shook my head...... I estimate between $120.00 and 140.00.....

Just finishing an article for the website about a group of 18 young Boers capturing 50 men of the KFS.

One cheeky lad asked them "what is the "F" for on your badge?"

The Prisonner answered "Kitchener's Fighting Scouts"

and the lad said "But... why didnt you guys fight then?"

Hi Mike,

I also like this badge-this paticular type is different to all the others sheet brass cut outs to the KFS as it has been stamped first (notice top half of F and where tails join the K and S).

I agree with QSA mike on price. I now have 6 different slouch hat examples to this unit.It took me 4 years to find them and I never paid over US150 the last one I bought in the last 6 months.

they do get listed on dealers sites for up to double that
