M Hunter
Gentlemen, Here is another ribbon bar I had to add to the collection. It is similar to the ribbon bar I posted here that was tracked by Christophe to an Officer in Jäger Bataillon Nr. 13. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=42390&st=0&p=392265&hl=Reuss&fromsearch=1&#entry392265 But after reading over that thread again I am again unsure if the yellow ribbon is for Reuss or Waldeck on this ribbon bar. This time there are no swords on the yellow ribbon so is this a Waldeck Honor Cross without swords? -Iron Cross -War Merit Cross 1939 -Saxon St. Henry Order -Saxon Merit Order (gold swords) -Saxon Albert Order (gold swords) -Waldeck/Reuss Honor Cross? -Honor Cross 1914-18 As always chaps, my thanks. Best wishes Matt

Deruelle
Hi Matt, A very interresting ribbon bar, which usually should be in my Saxon ribbon bars collection (maybe one day ) The six ribbon is a Reuß ribbon. With this, we can easily identify the unit where this officer served during WW1 : it is the 13 Jäger Regiment or 13 Reserve Jäger Regiment (whose Chef is the Prince of Reuß. BUT where are the swords on this ribbon ? Christophe Edited September 23, 2010 by Deruelle
Deruelle
I found only two names of officers who received SH3, SV3bX, SA3bX RE3X and who survived the war : - Paul Hederich - Georg GrafVitzthum v.Eckstädt Christophe
Deruelle
I haven't found officers who received WVK without swords before the war in the combo of SH3, SV3X and SA3X. So definitly this ribbon is a Reuß one Christophe
M Hunter
:speechless1: In the space of 30 minutes Christophe has been able to find 2 Officers with this combination. Thank you Christophe for for being able to confirm that the ribbon is for Reuss and that I have another ribbon bar of an Officer in Jäger Bataillon Nr. 13. Is there any way of confirming which of these Officers owned this ribbon bar and their rank? - Paul Hederich? - Georg GrafVitzthum v.Eckstädt? Deruelle
Matt, Both officers served in the Reserve Jäger Batn Nr. 13 during the war, Hederich was Lt d. R and Eckstädt was Oblt d. R. Christophe
