bmsm Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 This is a Navy Force Command-Iraqi Marines arm patch. It is machine made, 3-3/4 in. diameter and used after 2003. Translation above: Navy Force Command below: Iraqi Marines Bob
2xvetran Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Very neat patch Bob, I would like to know if something like this existed before 2003? Scott.
bmsm Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 How many men are in the Iraqi Marines? Paul, I did a search on Wikipedia and as of July, 2008 there were two undermanned Battalions of Marines. Bob
2xvetran Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I thought this would be a good thread to show my Iraqi Navy anchor device. It is stamped gilt and very well detailed and is 1 1/2" high. I am not sure if it is a hat/beret insignia or for the collars on a dress uniform. Any info would be appreciated. Scott.
2xvetran Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Here is the back side showing the cotter pin style mounting device. Scott.
bmsm Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 Very neat patch Bob, I would like to know if something like this existed before 2003? Scott. Scott, I asked my friend in Iraq and as far as he knew, the Iraqi Marines weren't started until 2003. Bob
