notned Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 (edited) Hello Gents,Two more 1870-71 and centarmedaille bars have come in the post!...Yeah.....i know...nothing special....One is in the trapezoid style and the other in the later type of parade mount.Starting to really like these old bars!CheersPaul Edited January 9, 2006 by notned
notned Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 and the other one....pity about the cut ribbon...
Bob Hunter Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Poor Paul...he is definitely on heading down the slippery slope!
Daniel Murphy Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Thats a first, I do not think I have ever seen a trapezoid used upside down (from the normal) on a medal bar. Neat.Dan Murphy
Stogieman Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Hi Paul, the second one is very nice, very unusual mounting style, but correct and nice & clean.
notned Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Thanks Gents. Yes Daniel.... its an unusual style...not often seen....wonder why the vet chose this type of mount? maybe to be 'different'....who knows....What strikes me as really unusual....is the third ring supender.... wonder if economy was the issue....Hmmmmm....I agree, Stogie....its the type with the slightly 'puffed' up ribbons...my favourite style....so crisp and clean...and the ring is hidden.RegardsPaul
