Poulton Palmer
Dear fellow collectors, I received a mail a few days ago from a french fellow collector. He is a fanatic WWII collecor and knows I am more interested in WWI. He sent me a few pictures from a friend of his who has found a few "things" lately with his metal detector. Look at the pictures and see what I mean: stunning!! Moderator: I don't know if I placed this under the right topic? Greetings Poulton

IrishGunner
Wow, even cleaned up an painted those helmets look way too good to have been in the ground for almost 100 years. The gas masks on the other hand...
JimZ
I'd have said exactly the same thing about those helmets. Wherever they did come from, they do look gorgeous!!!
Poulton Palmer
Hi guys, indeed the helmets are said to be found in a german concrete Unterstand and are not being dug up. I should have chosen a better fitting title for this post but I was to hasty posting it. Greetings from Poulton.

Poulton Palmer
The helmets were found in a concrete bunker? Hi TacHel, My french isn't perfect but in the initial mail it said: FOUILLE A XXX DANS UNE ANCIENNE POSITION ALL BETONNEE DE 1914/1918 I didn't know in English it is named a bunker( it is the same in Dutch) so sometimes I use the German word for something. Greetings, poulton
