Scowen Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 A fellow member has asked which mark should be on the 50 yr badge. Mine has a 5... If you have a 50 please post it. Cheers Don
--dj--Joe Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 A very nice badge Don. I have been looking through my files as I thought I had some images saved but it was a 1st type and unnumbered. Still seems as though I should have some images saved somewhere. Will keep my eyes open. --dj--Joe
Ulsterman Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 No -actually I think this is the second or third time I have ever seen one and certainly not in that great condition.
Pagan Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Hi there I was the member who asked the question. I finally got one of these now so that completes the 25, 40 and 50 year ones for the NSRKB Mine is a number 6. Can I ask is there anyway to tell who the makers were from the numbers?
Pagan Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Thought I would post all three NSRKB's along with a 40 Year Certificate. Enjoy
Scowen Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 Thanks for sharing it with us Mel, nice to see another. As to the numbers, there is speculation amongst collectors as to what exactly they are for. Some feel that they are manufacturer numbers, as in something like an LDO number. Others feel that they are simply a die or planchette number so that if there was a fault on the finished product then they would lknow which die was damaged. Cheers Don
--dj--Joe Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Very interesting to see the 6 numbered badge. Thanks for showing it. Someday I hope to be able to share an example here. --dj--Joe
