Bob Hunter Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 This is one out of 999 sigrunen seen at shows that makes muster.
Bob Hunter Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 Any more real ones out there? I'm sure there are a few...
Guest Brian von Etzel Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Looks great Bob, you should get Rick to see this one. It's beautiful.
Paul R Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Very nice Bob!!! The first bona fide piece I have seen!
Bob Hunter Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 Dos Ricardos have seen it and blessed it. If I recall RR classified it as a third type.
Stogieman Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 And a really good example to study. The characteristics of these runes have not been duplicated/faked yet. They come close, but they have not made it. Yet. This one makes 3 I think that we're aware of that were real. This one is the latest war-time example that was found, composed of zinc.Another interesting point to note is the plastic backing. I've had 3 different SS devices on ribbon bars. An eight, a four and the runes for 12. Every one of them was on this plastic backing, which is not all that common.
