Deruelle Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Hi everybody, I have received this photo and want to share with you. I haven't seen one before showing the King of Saxe giving knight cross of St Henry to one officer. Here we have the King and Staff (and at left the General Müller). The new owner of St Henry Order is the Leutnant d. R Karl Döring (1892-1918) on 7 May 1918. This officer received the following orders: SH3, SV3bX, SA3bX and both iron crosses. Christophe
M Hunter Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Very nice Christophe. Do you know when in 1918 Döring died? Best wishes Matt
W McSwiggan Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Based on orders and decorations - a very distinguished combat career. Sad that he did not live very long to enjoy his recognition.
Deruelle Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 Döring died on 15 October 1918 in North of Verdun Christophe
