dedehansen
Hello Gentlemen, I hope that someone can help me. Several years ago I got this medal bar, the family told me that the recipient of the bar was an doctor after the 1 WW, thats all the family new. The engarving on the Militär Karl Friedrich Verdienstmedaille reads as follows" Dem Tapfern Becker " , the problem is that there are 3 recipients with the name Becker in WW 1. May be someone can help me to get the right name ! Sincerley dedehansen

Chris Boonzaier
It is a wild guess... but I bet that a Vizefeldwebel in an active regt was probably active before the war, and a slight chance that he may have been a bit old after the war to start to study? (even 30 is slightly old) If he was a doctor, I would imagine a DRK or Volkspflege medal? Our guy on the right makes him a little "Beamtisch"... Maybe he was a Dr. of something other than medical doctor? All the above are just a few thoughts to get the ball rolling. Best Chris
