kaw808 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Hi, I just joined after finding some very interesting posts about Hungarian military daggers. I thought I would share some pictures of my grandfather's items. Please post any comments about them as I am a total newbie to Military collectables and I would love to know more about them! My grandfather served in the Royal Hungarian Military in the late 1930's. I am not sure of his rank, but I believe he was an airplane mechanic. These items were part of his actual uniform and were left to me by my grandmother. They include his belt and dagger, as well as a metal airplane which he received at graduation. Here's a link to the pictures on Flickr (since they are too large to upload to the site). http://www.flickr.com/photos/71550661@N05/ Let me know what you think! Thanks!
erikscollectables Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 He must have been at least an officer as this is the officers belt and dagger. Very nice and quite rare with a lot of copies floating around. No pictures of himself in uniform? That might help! Erik
Brian Wolfe Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Very nice family keepsakes and an exceptionally nice collectables, you are very lucky to be their caretaker. Thanks for posting them. Regards Brian
