macau1943
Dear all: I am a Portuguese trying to identify the words in a FELDPOST postal mark. I have been able to identify two words:"Briefstempel" on the bottom, and the second word "1.Schiffsstammabteilung" around the top of the circle; but also I would like to identify the first word. I wonder if anyone can help me in that? I send in attach the scans of the postal mark. Thank you for your help.
Naxos
The word on the stamp looks like; ... Kommando 1. Schiffsstammabteilung The sender is: Matrose Hans Rottner in Kiel from 3./1-S-St-A = 3. Kompanie, 1. Schiffsstammabteilung. The letter is addressed to his father, Schütze Heinz Rottner in Emmerich serving with Landesschützen-Ersatz-Batl (6). He writes that he wishes a good Sunday - that he is well and hopes the same for his father.
hucks216
I agree, it does look like Kommando - here is another example from 18 Schiffsstammabteilung.
macau1943
Hello, Thank you very much for your suggestions. I already thought the word "Kommando" for the first position but I had some doubts: - I am not able to "see" the letters "o" and the first "m"; - I wonder what are the letters before the "K"? If possible I appreciate more comments. Thank you for your attention to my request.
