buellmeister Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Gentlemen, I thought I'd ask the experts what they're thoughts are on this one. It is un-marked however, feels alot heavier than most and has a higher relief on all of the features on the core. I thank you in advance for your comments.Regards,Joel
Tom Y Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Looks good to me, although it appears to have been repainted. Keep an eye on the "veining". It can often hide rust beneath.
buellmeister Posted January 31, 2006 Author Posted January 31, 2006 Thanks Tom for your insight. Regards,Joel
Motorhead Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I dont think it's repainted-do identify the maker just look at the MCF database.Micha
buellmeister Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 Unfortunately Micha it's unmarked. Are there any characteristics that you can see that would indictate a possible manufacturer? None the less, thank you for your opinion.Regards,Joel
DavidM Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 HelloThe cross looks fine to me. Weight wise there can be quite some difference the different WW1 EK's.
buellmeister Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 I'm finding this out the hard way David. Hundreds of dollars later. Joel
