Frank M Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Thank you Laurence, byf.Laurence, I meant to ask you, does/did your own example happen to have any of the contents located in the butt stock storage compartment, or was it empty?Frank
joe campbell Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 empty or not, you both have very nice examplesof a very interesting weapon.the garrand gave the GI a decided firepower advantageover the standard german infantryman. had they had theserather than the K-98, i suspect there would be a much highernumber of GI's buried in europe.thanks to both of you!joe
Douglas Jr. Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 (edited) Hi,Here is my K43, ac45 block "d", with original scope (dow), but I still have to take some better shots of it, including details. It has a very crude blue finish on its slide, barrel and receiver and parkerized in the trigger guard. Painted magazines, marked G43. Very nice laminated stock. Everything original (except the scope mount I think) and I never messed with it. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.Douglas. Edited October 3, 2005 by Douglas Jr.
Laurence Strong Posted October 3, 2005 Author Posted October 3, 2005 (edited) Very nice Douglas I just found this yesterday, I dont know about the price, would that be realistic or would it be high?http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Heer/photos/H44454.html Edited October 3, 2005 by Laurence Strong
Douglas Jr. Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Laurence,Thanks for the comment and for the link! However it would be a crime to deactivate this fine gun. Personally I don?t think that G41s made by Walther rach such price (in fact, Simpson Ltds. has one for sale for less check here: http://www.simpsonltd.com/product_info.php...roducts_id=2546 ). This price is more suitable for a G41(M), much more rarer.Anyway, I hope that someone buy this one and keep it alive. All the best,Douglas.
Laurence Strong Posted October 4, 2005 Author Posted October 4, 2005 Wow! A guy could buy an RK for the price of those.
Douglas Jr. Posted October 4, 2005 Posted October 4, 2005 Hope people don?t listen this, but personally I?d prefer the rifle!Douglas.
