    Hi there,

I have an old two orders, I searched and asked too many experts but unfortunately no luck. I could not get any piece of information that could help me to identify them.

Here some information if would like to help:

    1) The first one is silver breast star with big crown in the medal measures: 90 mm in diameter & 54 Grams

    2) The second one is cross with big crown on top & small cross on the top of the crown measures: 75 X 40 mm & 21 Grams

    Please examine the attached pictures

    Sincerely

    Khaled Hussein

    Good afternoon from Riyadh,

Is the neck badge an Orthodox patriarchal award? The two Greek letters "P" could stand for Peter & Paul - thus the Order of Saints Peter & Paul - an award of one of the Orthodox rites of Egypt / Greece / Syria? The star may be related - the crude workmanship in both instances would suggest local Middle Eastern origin. Of course I may be completely wrong!

In fact, the cross appears to be modeled upon St. Mark's Cross of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, and in that case, perhaps, initials PP could stand for Pope Peter or Patriarch Peter ( Peter VII, penultimate Patriarch of Alexandria, who perished in helicopter crash). I am not sure that the star has anything to do with the cross (or am I wrong?).
