TacHel
President Medvedev signed the decree on May 3, 2012. It ranks just after the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", just above the Order of Alexander Nevsky. Statute: the Order of St. Catherine will be awarded to persons well-known for their high moral and spiritual attitude and compassion, to citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign citizens for outstanding contributions to peacekeeping, humanitarian and charitable activities, for the preservation of our cultural heritage. Breast star of the Order of St Catherine Sash badge of the Order of St Catherine Badge of the Order on ladies bow More to come ASAP. TacHel
If I understand correctly, there's also a decoration associated to the order, the decoration is called Decoration "For Beneficence" (or something to that effect). If anybody has more info, pics etc, please share!
JapanX
Another order!!! Thanks God! That's exactly what we need in Russia! Sixteen order will it be? Freaking clowns ... P.S. What a terrible quality! An "old" piece for comparison P.P.S. Megan
Reading the statutes, the Order of St Catherine seems to be in a single class worn as a sash or on a bow. No mention if it's only for ladies. Or where the neck badge Frank posted fits in...

Or where the neck badge Frank posted fits in... Yep, its unisex Megan. Statute simply states "...for RF and foreign citizens..." Two variants of wearing - sash (for boys?) and, as permissible variant, bow (for girls)...

Or where the neck badge Frank posted fits in... Apologies Megs, I erred in my excitement... Single class Order for both men and women. Star with full size badge on sash, or reduced size badge on ladies' bow.
JapanX
Star with full size badge on sash, or reduced size badge on ladies' bow. Jerry T
Unisex? for men and women? Call me sexist, but somehow I just cannot see a man wearing this. It looks just to feminine.
