Eric Stahlhut Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) at $7, this was way too neat to pass up! here is a 1st place "swimming" award for reichs-brigade 10 (hannover), given on 7 sept of 1919. it consists of a 50mm gilded bronze medallion, 40.5 gr reichswehr brigade 10 was formed in june of 1919 primarily from the freikorps units caspari, oldenburg, freiwillegen jaegerkorps niedersachsen, and a few others. it was part of x armeekorps hannover. in october of 1919, it merged with reichswehr brigade 36, so it's likely that whoever won this award was an ex-member of one of the above mentioned freikorps units! werner von blomberg and wilhelm keitel were members of this brigade Edited May 21, 2012 by Eric Stahlhut
