Eric Stahlhut Posted May 21, 2012 Share Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) at $7, this was way too neat to pass up! here is a 1st place "swimming" award for reichs-brigade 10 (hannover), given on 7 sept of 1919. it consists of a 50mm gilded bronze medallion, 40.5 gr reichswehr brigade 10 was formed in june of 1919 primarily from the freikorps units caspari, oldenburg, freiwillegen jaegerkorps niedersachsen, and a few others. it was part of x armeekorps hannover. in october of 1919, it merged with reichswehr brigade 36, so it's likely that whoever won this award was an ex-member of one of the above mentioned freikorps units! werner von blomberg and wilhelm keitel were members of this brigade Edited May 21, 2012 by Eric Stahlhut Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
