MilitariaCollector43 Posted June 1, 2012 Share Posted June 1, 2012 I bought this medal a few months ago and I have always wondered wether or not it was real or a good replica. It shows age with tarnish, it has no magnetic heart and no maker markings, on the sides it shows some lines all the way around (perhaps a ceramic technique). The outside is not silver and obviously the center is not Iron. Perhaps Navy/Marine manufacture and not issued? I have a feeling it is fake. I am not able to post pictures at the time.
