JapanX Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 Another very interesting piece. Most likely this is some sort of commemorative medal/badge. Early Republic. Obverse bears four flags: American, British, Swiss and Chinese. Reverse bears globe with very interesting numbers ;)
drclaw Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Gents, The Red Cross medals (Manchukuo, China, Wang Jingwei puppet regime, etc) have always been a mystery to me. But this thread hits it all on the head. Thanks so much for taking the time to share. Gavin

drclaw Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 A nicely made medal. For a private (Red Cross) issue, the quality exceeds many of the official / government awards.
JapanX Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 My personal favorite - ribbon and red color of case
JapanX Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Another example of RC medal for Famine Relief in 1911 Case
drclaw Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Very nice! Thanks for sharing Jcwater. I especially like the lapel rosette that is actually a pin.
No one Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Dear Gentlemen, Note (for the purists only) : on the reverse of the medal it's "國洲滿 " which is written not "国州満" : Yours sincerely, No one
