Bernhard H.Holst Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Hi Jon: German it is not. A guess would be Italian? Bernhard H. Holst
jonv Posted August 18, 2012 Author Posted August 18, 2012 I was told it might be Polish, but it looked similar to old German script. Maybe Lithuanian(?)
The Prussian Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 (edited) Bernhard. What did you see? I can´t see anything... Edited August 19, 2012 by The Prussian
The Prussian Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Ahja, jetzt geht´s Surely not german. Something baltic?
Dave Danner Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Bernhard's right. It is Italian. The first line starts "Guardaci e ...", which is "look at us and ...", but I can't make out the rest. I can't make out the first word on the second line, but after the comma is "con affetto", or "with affection".
jonv Posted August 20, 2012 Author Posted August 20, 2012 ok, thanks Dave! ... now for some serious back-to-the-drawing-board
