I think they where it until today? But it looks older to me. Maybe WWII?

Hello Chris......

This is a World War One Cap Badge.....

Yes it is still one of the regiments that are still in the Canadian Army.....

The only difference is the crown, it now has the QE2 Crown.....

Very nice hat badge. :love: The Royal Canadian Regiment is the senior regular force infantry regiment in the CF. Here is my old hat badge as an example, this one was issued to me in 1971. Modern examples are made of light alloys.

Its an easy ID for Canadians, Mervyn, as even squaddies can count the number of regular force infantry units Canada has without taking their boots off.

"Small but mighty" should be one of our mottoes, as the vast majority of our forces are Militia, though many of them regularly volunteer for active service in places like Afghanistan and on peacekeeping.
