JapanX Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Well, looks like official ribbons lost this early "sewed" style of attachement after 1895 (most likely even a little bit earlier) and red cross ribbons kept it (and used it even after WWII). Cheers, Nick
Dieter3 Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Yes - two things of noteworthyness - earlier JRC pieces would appear to have their hooks sewn on the outside of the ribbon vs. later pieces sewn between the folds of the ribbon. And of course later Orders had more "standard" attachment gear.
