Gensui Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Gents, I’d like to show you my latest acquisition – a Korea Annexation Commemorative Medal + case + award document + box for the award document. I have difficulties to read the name of the Secretary, who worked for the Land Research Bureau at the Korean General Government and would like to ask for any hints. Could it be Urushiya Akira? Thanks for your help and br, Chris
JapanX Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Nice set Chris! Congrats! Best, Nick P.S. What's up with the pictures? They are so smaaaaall...

Gensui Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 AWESOME! Thanks! It was reall a bargain and a big piece of luck, to get this set...
Gensui Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 No ideas / confirmation regarding the recipients name? I'm counting on our Japanese native speaking colleagues here
JapanX Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 (edited) Well, "Basic Member" and 150kb, I would say Yep, but a) you are already a "Member" (careerist! ) b) GMIC automatically compress every photo, so it's really nice when every picture is posted separately in max resolution possible (i.e. 150kb) Best, Nick Edited December 3, 2012 by JapanX

JapanX Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Come on guys! Give him the name of the recipient (yesterday he asked even me about the translation! ... and I barely read even Russian names ...That`s how desperate he is ).
Gensui Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 Thanks for posting the images, Nick! Talking about the name, as of now, I have several options: 1. URUSHIYAMA Akira 2. URUSHITANI or CHILGOK (Korean name) 3. URUSHI Aki In this context, any recommendation for any good kanji lexicon, which is (only) refering to Japanese names? BR from not so desperate Chris
