MG1918 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 No problem. still looking for a nice early example. What would be useful here are examples of luger holsters and any modifications as time progressed. For example if no date or maker was present could one determine if it were a WWI or WWII example...luger is effectively the same?! Mark
Hoss Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Mark I'm sure Ed is the man I need to see a maker and dates myself there is quite a few variants to the back straps for a start then there is dyed leather and some latter ones don't have the same thread all sorts of things. Some guys collect nothing but Lugers its fascinating, the whole thing I love em when they have unit stamps etc. Eric
Chris Boonzaier Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 I picked up this one.... a Baden Württemburg maker, in Ulm...... When I got it I saw that there is a unit stamped onm the OUTSIDE.... difficult to read, but still readable.... U.R. 20 which was only about 40km away from the maker!
Chip Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 That's a nice marking Chris. I have a saddle marked to the same unit. Chip
