Chris Boonzaier Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I assume these usually did not have award docs? This one had a cover letter, the award and a return reciept...
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Whats nice is, it is sent to the division, passed on to the brigade, on to the regt, on to the battalion, then on to the hospital... signed at every level.... Now why can't the German post Office do as well as these guys did in wartime!!
VtwinVince Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Very nice paper trail. I guess things were 'abbreviated' during the conflict, although prewar always had a VU.
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 Here is another one, pre war, also just a letter... http://www.ebay.de/itm/Dokument-Urkunde-Ritterkreuz-Friedrichsorden-Wurttemberg-Stockenburg-Schw-Hall-/230915611142?pt=Militaria&hash=item35c3a49a06
