QSAMIKE Posted March 30, 2013 Share Posted March 30, 2013 Good Evening Everyone…… Well day two of the Calgary Easter Show is over…… A bit disappointed as there were not as many medal dealers there as usual so had to find something else to purchase, after all I could not let all that money burn a hole in my pocket….. I will admit there was a lot of Militaria of all different kinds but nothing for me……. Except…… This is what I did purchase……. A Sea Gallantry Medal (Board of Trade Medal for Gallantry at Sea) Named: JOSEPH TAYLOR of the FISHING BOAT “CONTENT” 13th JANUARY 1881 A photograph of Joseph Taylor A Royal Humane Society Medal Named: JOSEPH TAYLOR 13th JANUARY 1881 Along with these medals an photo were his Certificate of Competency and two copies of his Board of Trade Death Certificate…… Of course no research done yet…… Mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Was it a succesful saving - or, did the person drown. The wording on the reverse shows this - I did list the wordings on an earlier post.
