AS in the triangle is thought to be a different maker than the A.S. and .A.S maker. Nice PABs all the same. I have the A.S. hollow in silver.

Once upon a time many of us thought this to be a Juncker now we're not so sure...possibly a Zimmerman varient. More is being learned all the time thanks to forums like these.

Don, what is the speculation on who the other AS might be?

Bob, as usual it is almost all speculation but last I heard this is how it lays now: A.S. and .A.S are thought to be made by Adolph Scholze from the area of Gablonz, linked through manufacturing technique to Gablonz maker R.K. The AS triangle could possibly be A.D. Schwerdt (tridangle being a D in ancient Greek) but you would expect the biggest letter to be the last name and not the middle name. Mike Tucker had one of these in an A.D.Schwerdt packet which strengthens this line of reason but no one has produced another example with the packet so who knows. It could also be an as yet unidentified Gablon manufacturer. One day we will know for sure.

Yes, I remember some of that discussion vis-a-vis the Schwerdt/Scholz situation or whoever it turns out to be.

In the meantime here are some other examples of what was once thought to be Junckers but now...that's up for grabs too.
