Hi all gents, i just created an account. I have a first question, which im sure you are more then able to help me with.

Ebay item number 300945531048

Tried finding the unit marking on many sites and dictionaries.

I come up short, not even a long guess possible from my side.

Any help would be greatly appreciated with this mysterious stamp.

I dont think it is imperial German.

Maybe reused by someone else, or stamped for collectors?

Could it maybe be an export to turkey or another mauser using country?

or a weimmar republic 1918-?

Probably too late for this but that is an interwar police marking - Schutzpolizei Oppeln [in Silesia] now the Polish city of Opole.

S. (Schutzpolizei) Op. (Oppeln district) I. (Abshnitt I) regulations 1932 Prussia.

The back of the guard probably has the mandatory official 1920 stamp.
