JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Check this out guys (batteries not included ) Obverse Reverse
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 This piece has a very strange looking enamels and gild You see VS original enamel
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Some reddish crap instead of yellow in halberds and this blue enamel on shield looks kinda strange too .. Edited September 3, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 But its nothing in comparison with enamel on harness
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Guess somebody became too agitated and enameled fifth (upper) aperture Edited September 3, 2013 by JapanX
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Red enamel also looks strange (especially for this WWII type of kite)
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Looks like somebody was playing around with this piece Additional two comparisons
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Another comparison with another mint 3rd class
kaguyahime Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Check this out guys (batteries not included ) ...batteries not included - what a pity! The value of the set could be more significant. Is it on E-bay?
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Nope. It was sold three months ago on YJ. Couple of days ago one kind soul sent me better photos of this rarity ;)
kaguyahime Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Nope. It was sold three months ago on YJ. Couple of days ago one kind soul sent me better photos of this rarity On YJ?! - "Even you, Brutus?"
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Shocking! Too many simple-minded collectors with deep pockets ... O cives, cives, quaerenda pecunia primum set ...
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Not only "in the center" I am afraid And what about these halberds?! Edited September 3, 2013 by JapanX
Taganrog Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Not only "in the center" I am afraid And what about these halberds?! Yes, Nic. You're right. Center and halberds
Taganrog Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 ...batteries not included - what a pity! The value of the set could be more significant. Is it on E-bay? At you likely there are a lot of Gold Kites of the 3rd class. All of them in an excellent condition? Show them here or on "Sammler"
JapanX Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) "Who has kites" "How many" "In what condition" All these super interesting questions will be discussed in some other thread (hopefully on some other forum). P.S. Meanwhile the red enamel in the rays and blue on the shields look questionable. We really need better quality pictures of obverse under good light. Edited September 4, 2013 by JapanX
Taganrog Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Enamel is restored only in the center and partially on halberds. Blue and red enamel in native execution and in an excellent condition. It is perfectly visible in your photos which you received from kind people
JapanX Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 Please, allow me decide what is perfectly visible and what is not
Taganrog Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Please, allow me decide what is perfectly visible and what is not And who you are such something to solve? Your opinion not ultimate truth. If you don't see, these are your problems. Award serious collectors looked. Red and becoming blue enamel native and in an excellent condition.
JapanX Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 Indeed! Who am I such something to solve? Hmmm.. Let me think for a sec.
