Unknown insignia on MKII helmet

Hi,

Does any one know what this insignia mean on mkII helmet ?

it seam to be a yellow cross with red or brown backing... hard to say..

Toutfou - welcome to GMIC. I would say that this is a Divisional flash - hard to say from the faded paint. I think it looks like an Irish

Harp with a Crown over. This might be an Irish Division - perhaps someone could look this-up ? Mervyn

Does not seem to correspont to any UK or commonwealth divisional badge.... maybe sold elsewhere after the war?

Not exactly the same, but it´s a handmade one.

The Norwegians and Dutch both used the MKII. I don't recognise the insignia but the few British helmets I've seen used in these two countries usually had some kind of insignia on them.
