Guest Rick Research
The Moscow Enamel Buddies screwplate also appears on the Republic 1946 medal...making me wonder whether these were actually some left over stock from BEFORE the Great Patriotic War (like all those recycled "Mint" marked screw disks from Valor and Military Merit Medals on the red suspensions--found as far afield as on Yugoslav Partisan Star awards etc)... or if my hypothesis that said Collaborative turned into the "Victory" factory during the war might NOT be true after all.I would REALLY doubt they went through the war with unmarked products, and then produced these two MONGOLIAN awards before fading into oblivion. Not appropriate in the Mongolian sub-forum, but if anybody has ANYTHING marked as made by this company that was NOT Mongolian, please post in the Soviet awards sub-forum!
