Richarddwh Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I assume this is Austrian but from when, 1930s or far later? Any comments appreciated.
Chris Boonzaier Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 My first guess would have been something from the Vatican?
IrishGunner Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 This is neither Austrian nor military. It is a Jerusalem Cross, also known as Crusaders' Cross - a religious symbol associated with the Catholic honorific order Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. I've also seen it used with Episcopal groups. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerusalem_cross#Modern_use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_the_Holy_Sepulchre
Gordon Craig Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Richarddwh, Perhaps you were thinking of the Austrian Order of the Republic or the Order of Merit when you started this thread. Regards, Gordon
Rogi Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I was watching Spiderman 3 today and saw this logo on the Church they used as a "battle" between Spidey and Venom its on the floor as a huge symbol, if I run through it again I'll try to screen capture and post
Richarddwh Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Thanks Gents, I was way off the mark! Gordon, I think you're right, I thought it looked vaguely familiar.
