dante Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Just obtained a Kriegsdenkmünze für die Feldzüge 1870–71, signed by Generalleutnant Wilhelm Graf zu Stolberg-Wernigerode, commanding general of the 7th Army Corps to Lieutenant Franzesko Freiherr von Furstenberg, would anyone have a note of his awards and what if any clasps he would have earned, many thanks, Paul

Gen.Maj. z.D. and commandant of the Senne training area, he had these awards: PRAO3mSchl PKrO3 EK2 PDK LH3 OV3a SLMV WK2c SS4a He was in Hus. R. 8 during the 1870/71 war- this regiment participated in the following actions which had a bar to the campaign medal: Spicheren, Colombey-Nouilly, Gravelotte-St. Privat, Metz (1. Esk. Noisseville). his dates: 09.11.1845-25.04.1917 Commands: 1914/1917 Comdt. POW Camp at Senne; 18.08.97-18.02.02 Comdt. of Senne Training area; 17.06.93-18.08.97 Com. d. Kür. R. 5 Andy
Dave Danner Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 According to the DOA, he had the Prussian Crown Order 2nd Class, so his 3rd Class must have been bumped up on or after retirement.
