Guest Brian von Etzel Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 The cased examples of these are so nicely preserved...
Stogieman Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Very nice examples Gentlemen. Especially the outer boxed one..
Richard Gordon Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 (edited) BrianYour example is intriguing... the hinge/pin/catch are like those from another example yet the front is Meyer. Here's an 'unknown' maker on the left with the Meyer example. You can see the standard Meyer hinge/pin set-up and compare with yours. Very interesting!Could your example be earlier?Rich Edited February 26, 2006 by Richard Gordon
Richard Gordon Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Here's my 'unknown' in the case.Rich
Guest Brian von Etzel Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Thanks everyone for replying so quickly.Richard, I would think earlier also. My case has the round catch which I would 'think' is earlier. Also that pin looks like it takes more time to finish. The pin is beautifully finished with a plating.
