Your example is intriguing... the hinge/pin/catch are like those from another example yet the front is Meyer.

Here's an 'unknown' maker on the left with the Meyer example. You can see the standard Meyer hinge/pin set-up and compare with yours. Very interesting!

Could your example be earlier?

Thanks everyone for replying so quickly.

Richard, I would think earlier also. My case has the round catch which I would 'think' is earlier. Also that pin looks like it takes more time to finish. The pin is beautifully finished with a plating.
