JapanX Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 Somebody wore this one quite intensively!
JapanX Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 For comparison purposes let`s examine set that belonged to George VI. Exact date is not known, but most likely it came from 20s (he got chain in 1937).

utopis Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Ah, finally! Thank you so much, Nick. A real beauty. And such a nice condition Extraordinary enamelwork - the red enamel in the center of the flowers. Interesting to see the dark spots in the orange enamel - with that even I could tell that this one is from Meiji Do you have some close ups of later periods for comparison? And of course a document, please
drclaw Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Absolutely stunning Nick! Thanks for sharing this treat. Merry Christmas guys and thanks for all your contributions and posts this year. Ours can be a lonely hobby (it's not like you can wander into your local pub and discuss insignia variations on the Order of the Golden Kite ...). But being part of this community really makes a difference.
