JensF. Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Hi gents, any opinions on this medal bar I've recently bought?
JapanX Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Hi Jens, really terrible photos this seller made... Not very realistic group (R-J and Incident on the same bar and only 7th class rising sun + no sacred treasure in sight?!?!?!?!?) If possible, please make a better photos. Cheers, Nick
JensF. Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) Thank you Nick. Why not very realistic? Only due to the missing Sacred Treasure? I will take better photos when it has arrived. Edited February 24, 2014 by JensF.
JapanX Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Jens, please take a look at these photos (all came from late 30s/early 40s)
JapanX Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 So, as we see, typical low rank participant of China Incident usually has in his medal bar two (one) order and a couple of medals 7th or 8th class sun/ 7th or 8th class treasure/ China Incident medal / Red cross medal It wasn`t missing sacred treasure that alarmed me. It`s R-J war medal between these awards!!! Possible? I`d say hardly ... + Hungar looks like it came from late meiji/taisho period of time.
JensF. Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Ok, thank you. Now I know what you mean. If the medal bar is authentic, could it be some kind of older reserve guy or something like that?

JapanX Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) ... could it be some kind of older reserve guy or something like that? This is our only hope... Although the possibility is pretty slim + we really could use better photos (so we can date RS order) Red cross medal came from late Meiji/Taisho epoch Edited February 25, 2014 by JapanX
JapanX Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Here is another reason to be suspecious Jens http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/61117-another-jewel-at-german-ebay/ Unmistakable "style" of photos
JensF. Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Thanks again. I will post better photos, maybe this will help a little bit.
JensF. Posted March 1, 2014 Author Posted March 1, 2014 Ok, thank you. So what do you think? Authentic medal-bar or a "put together" one?
JapanX Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 To sum up R-J war medal + RC medal from Meiji epoch RS 7th class from 30s + China Incident Medal are hanging on a four place hanger that came from Meiji epoch. Most likely "put-together". IMHO of course
