drclaw
Thanks for posting these Nick. I like how Russia is re-introducing the old Tsarist Orders. It would be even better if they resurrected old firms like Keibel and Eduard to make them

Rogi
It'd just be nice if the quality was there again, and gold for the gold orders :D come on gold! lol I'd even be ok with the 14k or dare I say "lower" grades of gold Edited May 6, 2014 by Rogi
utopis
Gold isn't the main problem. Silver gilt is fine as long as there is good enamel work. Really a shame how the modern ones look. They're the ugly cousins of the Tsarist ones. Though I like the numbering on the the neck badge - that's a nice touch (but the engraving is badly executed) The safety pin looks just ridiculous. It looks like it's going to break off after a little wear.
JapanX
Really a shame how the modern ones look. They look like crap even as compared with USSR awards ...
sambolini
Hi, I agree, horrible quality. It looks a lot like the Gode (sp?) copies of Imperial German Orders made for the general public. It must be a lost art creating the quality orders of pre 1918. Regards, Sam
