BURGERHAUS Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 [attachmentid=29834][attachmentid=29835] Here is another. Reverse marked Rob.Neff BerlinW.37 Only stick-pin I have with this maker. Any other of these examples to share. How about a membership book? Take Care. Robert
Scowen Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 Back to famine by the looks of things...... Here's mine, also Neff. Can't really comment on your Westmark as I can't say 100% that mines genuine. Cheers Don
Scowen Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 Here's another that you don't seem to see much. Cheers Don
BURGERHAUS Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Don, You are too humble. Seen far less than not very often. Let me see if I can very roughly translate. Would this badge be some kind of Silesian Home to National Socialism badge for 15 years? Just a rough guess w/o dictionary. Thanks for showing this Don. A maker on the reverse? Robert
Scowen Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Nice pins James. Robert, Yes it was one of those Nationalistic groups. There are a number of forms & variants of these, the reverse is totally unmarked. Here's another I recently received, also unmarked. Cheers Don
Rosenberg Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Don,your is truly a first timer for me.If I am not confused by this it should be the 2nd type and I guess it is even rarer than the first type?Cheers

Cheers Thanks. They can be hard to find at times. Here is a picture of one in wear. Cheers Don
Rosenberg Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Thanks,Don. I really like your often having a pic at hand showing a certain collectable in wear! Best
BURGERHAUS Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 [attachmentid=30335] Don, This is my first glimpse at this rare badge other than in reference books. Congrats. In this instance, did you happen upon the photo first and then the badge or vice versa? That is a great way to collect. In essence, you are putting a face to the badge. I wonder how many of those were issued. Probably not too many I suspect. Thanks for showing badge and photo. Robert
Scowen Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 Robert, now it's my turn to be impressed.......... a Reichverband deutscher Fleischbeschauer-und Trichinenschauer-Verb?nde pin, very nice. I assume unmarked?I'd had the picture for quite sometime before the pin arrived quite unexpectedly through the post from a good friend of mine who thought I'd like one....... CheersDon
BURGERHAUS Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 [attachmentid=30337] Don, That had to be a pleasant suprise to find the badge to match the photo. Would the back of the photo have any writing on it? And before I forget and have to post again. The reverse. Have a nice weekend.
Scowen Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 12mm!! Look at the detail on that thing CheersDon
BURGERHAUS Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 [attachmentid=30713][attachmentid=30714] Slightly off topic and not an organizational badge, I thought I would post this to compliment James' fine minature party badge. Robert
BURGERHAUS Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 [attachmentid=30724][attachmentid=30726] Oh, if they all could be marked as well as these.....
Scowen Posted March 14, 2006 Author Posted March 14, 2006 This is even more off topic . KRPeterOi! Who let that red spy in......... Nice pin Peter, not to my taste, but nice Like the RAD pin Robert. I recently came across a picture of one of these being worn by a young soldier, haven't managed to secure it yet..... CheersDon
Peter J Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Robert, I can't argue with that Don, I didn't think it was worth opening a new thread for this little spy, but instead of letting it fall into oblivion, I decided to post it here. The details on the rope are quite amazing.KRPeter

We take this sort of thing for granted nowdays with modern machines & cutters, but 70 years ago it was all done by hand.CheersDon
