new 70/71 battle clasp FAKES around...

Good evening,

unfortunately I must say that my "very special friend" from the L?neburger Heide has found a new hobby - now he fakes not only the clasps for my beloved colonial medals, now he has started faking 70/71 battle clasps with exactly the same "110% perfect laser cut out style..." - there were definately no clasps for 70/71 with this style.

I am a bit angry....

This picture is taken from a running auction on ebay germany and it is exactly the same style as we have discussed before for the colonial clasps - 100% brandnew fake!!!

I'm no expert on these bars by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems to me that the border of the bar is slightly thinner than those normally encountered? I've had a look at my medal bar with 5 clasps on it, to my worn out eyes it seems that way!

Would of course be good to see the back, but the combination of clasps is correct for the IX. AK.

Here's the reverse. I'm pretty sure I picked this up around 15 years ago.

What manner of attachments are on the back of the fakes Heiko? Any pics?

Greetings Heiko. A discouraging development to be sure. Have you catalogued all the types yet?

I have not catalogued all types but I have about 500 photos on PC with original 70/71 battle clasps or medal bars with the clasps and I had most of them in my own hands - this is not an old type!!!!
