Paul R
My current class is on the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. How did you come upon this item? It is beyond cool.
Stuka f
Hey Paul, got it from a French militaria forum I am one. But you must be able to find one quiet easy, in fact they are not that rare. I would be glad to be of any help, if needed. cheers |<ris

Stuka f
Naturabuy, is the French contre part of ebay, it works ok.The only thing is that some do not send out side France, or only take French cheques. But I can provide help there if needed! Good luck! |<ris
Mervyn Mitton
They had grand ideas - I would have thought Armee Nationale (don't have that accent). The design is not really a Pike - which usually have an arm horizontally under the head. I would say more like a spear head - they probably had to produce a lot quickly. The real urgency was for the guillotines. I wonder if he got any aristos with this ? Mervyn
Stuka f
Got the spear head in today. It is quiet big! Had a TR dagger next to it for comparison. Cheers |<ris
Mervyn Mitton
It is so African in appearance that if it weren't for the Initials............... Certainly a big head, I wonder how long the shaft was ?
Stuka f
I'll see what I can find for the shaft. About the similarity to African spears, I can say the difference is obvious when in hand. The finishing and the weight are very different. |<ris
