Naxos Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 Is that blau/weiss string a usual item for a Bavarian Pass? No, not usual since this pass has been rebound - but I have seen it before
IrishGunner Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 No, not usual since this pass has been rebound - but I have seen it before So, the rebound was war-period? Or later?
Naxos Posted January 16, 2015 Author Posted January 16, 2015 So, the rebound was war-period? Or later? In January 1919 were a few pages (Sicherheits-Bataillon) added - It appears it was done at that time but who knows
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 That is very nice on so many levels, especially the Fleury entry!!!!
Chris Boonzaier Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 A nice troke of luck, I bought this ugly EK2 Doc and Pass without knowing the contents.... his last Combat posting had him wounded at Fleury.......
Chip Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Hardy,Thanks for posting this. I'm continually amazed at these soldiers that made it through multiple war years. You wonder how they held up for so long, both mentally and physically.I'd like to have a nickel for every mile he travelled during the war. The rail lines sure got a workout.Chip
