Chip Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Hello, I'm showing here the reverse side of three M15 shoulder straps from three different units (two are Krankenträger). Each has a similar loop configuration, which I can only guess is to keep something attached to the shoulder strap. I suppose it was added for the extra weight of the Labeflasche or perhaps might keep the stretcher carrying strap from slipping off the shoulder. What interests me, is why would you do this if the shoulder strap itself would keep things from sliding off of the shoulder? Also, the configuration with the split in the middle also has me stumped. Additional ideas are welcome. Chip
Naxos Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Chip, I believe it is split "zum einknöpfen" of something - the split acts like a button hole at the bottom of the strap.
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I guess a solidly sewn on strap, then rolled and buttoned, would have added like a pad that stopped something from slipping off the shoulder? Dont the French straps have a similar "non slip" function?
Spasm Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Would these be for keeping a dress lanyard in the correct place, particularly if wearing two with the first already connected to the button?
