Chris Boonzaier Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) I must admit, my first thought when I saw the case was "British!"... But it could be British made for a foreign or Cival award? Edited March 16, 2015 by Chris Boonzaier
paul wood Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Could it not just be a jewellery case I has seen several similar in Jewellery auctions.Paul
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I think it could be for anything from a dangly thing to a spoon.... my "British!" thought somehow came from the color
Ralph A Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Looks a lot like some of the Masonic jewel cases I've seen, and owned.
Mervyn Mitton Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 The red morroco leather is typical of British medal cases. However, it lacks the maker's name and the indentations area strange shape for any British award that I recognise. Perhaps Ralph is right in thinking masonic - but then Paul isalso likely to be correct with jewellery. Mervyn
