Uffz. Rohleder
Looks like the kanji on the case are Hand painted. Are this real or some Kind of repair?
Dieter3
Yes, that case is original. I don't have a Sacred Treasure with this particular hallmark, but I've got a Rising Sun with one:I believe the Rising Sun to be a Meiji-era piece, but I'm going to guess that your Sacred Treasure is a late-Meiji to early-Taisho era piece. Uffz. Rohleder
Thanks for showing your rising sun. I didnt Saw an other hallmark like this. That would be fantastic If the medal were from the late meiji / early taisho period Greetings Stefan
JapanX
I think this treasure came from (approximately) 1910s-1920s period of time
fukuoka
There were three main private manufacturers of the orders up until 1929:Hirata Haruyuki (平田春行) Namikawa Sousuke (濤川惣助) Ohki Souho (大木宗保) The 'na' hallmark most likely belonged to Namikawa. If you have my medals newsletter of 2012, I wrote about this in issue #7 and included a short bio of Namikawa.
